July 29th and 30th

On the 29th, I went out in the evening covering 2.5 miles in 30 minutes. It was a nice evening stroll.

Today Br and I went out in town and walked a bit with L. Then later we went to Stokes bay were we walked a bit along the sea with K and had a bit of Ice cream. It was a beautiful day today.

Hope you are all well.

Chichester Walk

On July 27th, I took a nine mile off road walk through the Chichester and south downs area. It was a beautifully, sunny day and I was accompanied by a friend K, Who made the day great. We walked through the Goodwood Estate which is owned by the 9th Duke of Richmond. We went past the auto race track, the golf course, the horse racing track, down the trundle to the village of Lavant and out to Oaklands park. We believe it took us four hours counting when we stopped for lunch. Here are some pics.

End of July

Just so you don't think I have taken vacation already. I am still walking and running on a regular basis. Just have not had a ton of time to blog. Keep watching for more info.

Today I did a brisk walk. 2.5 miles in 30 minutes. I thought that was pretty good. I attempted to run but my shins are killing me.

I will be participating in the Chichester 9 mile walk this weekend.

Monday July 14th 2008

Well I survived the race for cancer with no pain. I think that is a great accomplishment. Yesterday I convinced my walking partners to take a road that I did not know where it lead. You all know me I am so into discoveries. So we walked down this seasonal road past Thatched roof cottages, farms with horses, peacocks, and then working our way to the mansions on the sea front. Past the Maritine college into Warsash. I thought it was a great adventure since a part of me is like all great adventures. I am not sure how my walking partners felt about it.
I have agreed to do a nine mile walk in Chichester with some friends on July 27th. I took today off due to our family schedule.

Peace to all

Cancer Run

Well I participated in the Race for Life in Southampton on July 13 with Lisa and K. It was a wonderful day, Ten Thousand people participated to raise funds for cancer research. In truth we all did the best we could. Lisa reached the finish line first followed by me and K. K. did a wonderful job as did Lisa. I can admit that I did okay but not as well as I had hoped. I ran about 1.5 miles probably a little less. I walked the rest. I raised about 100 pounds on my donation sheet and more thanks to all the online donations.

Running Fans

Greetings to all on this second of July. Well this week has started off slowly. Lisa and I went for a four mile walk/run on Monday. Unfortunately, we both experienced our own kind of pains. Mine is in the left shin. On Tuesday an friend of mine treated the shin and it feels good although I have not run. Lisa is still at an uncomfortable place so we did not go out tonight. I have to go out tomorrow as there is a week and a few days till the cancer walk run in Southampton. Thank you to all of you that have supported us in this effort. After the cancer Run, all training will be for the big run on October 26th.

Good will to all of you.
