Although I show tons of promise and dedication. I am not sure what the real problem with my shin is but it is a pain in my shin. I ran a 1/2 mile before experiencing pain. Then I walked 2 and 1/2 in an Hour. I even had time to water my flowers before it was to dark.
I need to get this shin thing figured out so I can run further. Any suggestions are welcome.
Peace
Ann

22nd of June
What a blustery day. It was sunny enough, but the wind made you feel like you needed a sweater. Lisa and I ventured out. We planned to do 1 minute runs with two minute walks. Once we did a little warm up. I did 10 and 3/4ths of one before the left shin began to tinge a bit. Lisa could have gone on without me, but she is nice enough not to just blow past me. In all we covered about 3.46 miles I think if I mapped it correctly. I am improving and hope to keep up with Lisa. Most importantly I feel great minus the shin.
We will see what tomorrow brings.

June 20th
Ray and I found ourselves in London today to take care of some affairs. It was an overcast day, but the rain held off till we arrived home. We walked from the offices we visited in Groverners Square to London Victory train station. We ate a lovely lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe. It was wonderful as we don't do things on our own very much. In all I walked 2.5 miles in London.
Then, Br and I walked a .5 mile in town.
Cheers

June 18th
Yesterday On June 17th, I visited a friend of me is an Osteopath. I had her work on my shin. She did advise me that I should not run today, but those of you that know me know that I never listen worth a dam. So Lisa and I went out for a run. We decided on one minute runs and one minute walks. I made eight before my left shin was painful. Our adventure covered our typical three miles.
I came home to Ice down and rub my shin. A few good stretches and I will be off to bed soon.

Monday Morning
Yesterday began like so many other Monday's. it began with getting children out the door for school. I cleaned the house, did the laundry and headed out for Yoga. I am really enjoying the yoga class. E the yoga instructor is great. She teaches us new positions and allows each of to work at our level and pace encouraging us to build up, but not push it. The ladies that attend are all ages and stages of fitness. It is fun.
In other news Lisa and I went out for a walk/run. We chose the 2 minute walks and 30 second runs we did about 12 runs which is my all time high usually by nine my left shin flares to pain. Last night that did not happen, which is great. Lisa is doing our statistical data. As of last night if we keep this pace we will finish the Great South Run 148 minutes or 2 hours 28 minutes. Hopefully, we will work forward from this pace but if not I know we will be okay to finish the run.
Thank God for shorts with draw strings cause that is the only way they are staying up.
Cheers Mates

Hey All!!
I hope all is well with each of you. Monday I did Yoga. I am really enjoying it. I then took a little walk with B.J before taking him to the movies. Tuesday I went to SouthSea with Br. We walked around Canoe Lake and the rose garden. Then along th esplanade for a bit before heading to a lovely meal. I ran about a little more that a fourth of a mile Than walked two plus miles. I am sure that walking the five miles in July since it is a cancer walk is ok but I would like to run some of it. My Shins are bugging me. I am a little disappointed as I was hoping to be further a long by noew.

Half Term break
The kids had a week off for half term. One went to camp and the other hung out with me. We were gone everyday during the week, in many cases we took walks and parks. Then I usually worked with L in the evening doing about three miles a night walking.
Yesterday on my own I jogged for a 1/4 mile for the first time with no pain and then walked two miles.
Today I have taken off for the first time in over a week.
